Unboxing & Setting Up the Harbor SystemUpdated 2 months ago
Start here for step-by-step guidance if you've just received the Harbor system.
- If you purchased multiple Cameras, let's start with a single Camera first (it doesn't matter which one). Additional Cameras will be linked to the system through the Harbor Mobile App. Once the Camera is mounted to a wall or flat surface, plug it into a nearby power source using its included USB-C power adapter and cable. You can run the cable through the groove in the base for improved support & management.
- While near the Camera, turn on the Monitor with the button on the top-right of the display.
After the Monitor powers on, if the powered Camera is nearby, you will see the Harbor Monitor Application automatically connect to the Camera within about 30 seconds.
Note: The Monitor is intentionally muted at this stage to prevent audio echo/feedback loops. - Now, let's download the iPhone Harbor Mobile App here and create an account.
You can easily create and log into your account with your Google or Apple login, so you don't need to remember yet another password.
If you are an Android user, please get in touch with us at [email protected] to be added to our Android Mobile App Beta! - Once you're logged into the iPhone Harbor Mobile App, you will see a prompt to connect the Mobile App to the rest of your system.
- Have your home WiFi network's password handy for this next step.
- You will be prompted to tap the Phone to the Camera
- The Mobile App will send your home WiFi network's information to the Camera and Monitor, defaulting to the network your iPhone is currently connected to. If you prefer a different network, select it from the drop-down menu or enter it manually with the password.
- Reminder: unless you are accessing the Camera from outside your home network, Harbor never streams data through its cloud. Everything is on your local home WiFi!
- Name the Camera
- After a few seconds, you will see a live video feed from the Camera!
- The Monitor will re-establish communications with the Camera via your home WiFi network for extended range and functionality.
Tip! If for some reason your Monitors does not automatically move to your home WiFi / account, you can resolve it easily by selecting the WiFi network and signing in.
